Privacy Policy
VigilPulse (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a mobile application and related services that help you monitor topics, sources, and alerts you configure. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use VigilPulse (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by the team behind VigilPulse. For privacy inquiries, contact: support@sensenotify.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and authentication
When you register or sign in, we may collect identifiers such as your email address or phone number, depending on the sign-in method you choose, and a unique user ID associated with your account.
2.2 Service configuration and content you provide
To deliver monitoring and alerts, we process information you enter or select, including event names, descriptions, keywords, preferences, and accounts or sources you choose to follow. This may include text you submit for features that use analysis or recommendations (for example, describing what you want to track).
2.3 Device and technical data
We collect data needed to run the app reliably, such as device type, operating system version, app version, and push notification tokens (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications you request.
2.4 Usage and diagnostics
We may collect aggregated or de-identified usage information to improve performance, fix errors, and understand how features are used. We may also log technical events (e.g. API errors) tied to your account where necessary for security and support.
2.5 Payment-related data
Purchases or subscriptions may be processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive limited information from those platforms (such as subscription status and transaction identifiers) to validate entitlements. We do not receive your full payment card details.
2.6 Information from third-party platforms
When you monitor public content from third-party platforms (e.g. social networks), we process that content and related metadata as needed to provide alerts and timelines. Such content is generally public; you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with those platforms’ terms and applicable law.
3. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and session.
- To operate monitoring, notifications, timelines, and related features according to your settings.
- To run or improve features that involve automated analysis or suggestions based on text you provide.
- To send push notifications and in-app messages you opt into.
- To process subscriptions and enforce access rules.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- To communicate with you about support and important updates.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
Where required, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service you request); legitimate interests (security, improvement, analytics that do not override your rights); consent (where we ask for it, e.g. certain notifications or optional processing); and legal obligation where applicable.
5. AI and automated processing
Some features may use automated processing or third-party AI services to analyze text you submit (e.g. to suggest titles or sources). Outputs are assistive and may be imperfect. Do not submit highly sensitive personal data unless necessary; we discourage submitting health, financial, or government ID data in free-text fields.
6. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who host infrastructure, send notifications, or help us operate the Service (e.g. cloud hosting, Firebase for push), under contractual obligations to protect data.
- App stores (Apple, Google) for purchase verification and distribution.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information as “sale” is defined under U.S. state privacy laws.
7. International transfers
We may process data in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained in anonymized form or as required by law.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these rights, contact support@sensenotify.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you are in California, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA; contact us to exercise them.
10. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Third-party services
The Service may link to or rely on third-party sites and platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on our website and in the app where appropriate. Material changes may be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
